About the program

Google for Startups Accelerator: Cloud is a 10-week accelerator program for cloud-native technology startups headquartered in North America. The accelerator program is best suited for revenue generating startups with a minimum of 5+ employees. To ensure Google can provide meaningful value, startups should aim to leverage Cloud-Native technologies (including AI/ML, analytics, etc.) in their product, service, or operations and/or show an interest in leveraging these technologies in the future.

The accelerator is designed to bring the best of Google's programs, products, people and technology to startups doing interesting work in the Cloud. In addition to Cloud mentorship and technical project support, the accelerator also includes deep dives and workshops focused on product design, customer acquisition and leadership development for startup founders and leaders.

Entry Criteria

  • Startups demonstrating traction, ideally between Seed and Series A stage
  • Building a scalable product or service with a significant total addressable market and defensible growth model
  • Deeply technical, preferably leveraging technologies like machine learning and AI
  • Commitment from CTO and/or technical roles to participate and engage in required program sessions
  • We are committed to building Accelerator classes that are diverse and inclusive, and encourage applications from qualified startups with founders of all backgrounds, including but not limited to race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, religion, disability, veteran status, and geography

What is the format of the program?

The accelerator runs entirely virtually for a period of 10-weeks, with digital workshops, programming, and mentorship taking place each week. As part of the North American Google for Startups Accelerator: Cloud, selected founders outline the top challenges facing their startup, and are then paired with relevant Cloud experts from Google to help solve those challenges. Participating startups receive deep mentorship on technical topics and machine learning, as well as connections to relevant teams from across Google. Learn more.

When will the program run?

The first Google for Startups Accelerator: Cloud cohort will kick off in July 2023 and run for 10 weeks. The first North American cohort will consist of 8-12 cloud-native technology startups.

What are the criteria to receive product credits, and what does "eligible for product credits" mean?
